History of Object: On March 30, 1097 Herbert D. Clark applied for membership in the Native Sons of the Golden West in the Halcyon Parlor #146, Alameda, California. He was initiated in the Lodge on April 6, 1897 following approval of the Investigating Committee, signed by A. W. Scott and George A. Innes (the latter owned and operated a dairy in Alameda.) Herbert Clark remained an active member of the Lodge until his death in 1951.
