Description: Blue colored soft covered booklet (directory), with heading in dark blue type "Wednesday Afternoon Club", Alameda, Califomia, 1917. The booklet contains 4 pages. A sepia tinted photograph of the membership has been pasted to the front flyleaf of the booklet. The back inside cover has a newspaper clipping for Feb 17, 1926, telling of a tour made by Wednesday Afternoon club, to Highland Hospital, Oakland. H. H. Meyers, architect of the hospital, was the guide. Mrs. Meyers was the president of the club in 1912.

History of Object: Directory, 1917, of the social & literary club, the Wednesday Afternoon Club, organized, June, 1900. The membership was comprised of leading ladies of the community.
