L 9" x 14 1/2" History of Object: Folders with papers found in the attic of City Hall, refoldered in 2011 after donation to the museum. These papers pertain to: A: #175, 1928: plans by J.A. Powell to build on property at the south end of Park Street - includes map, showing Powell street; #176, 1926, and Southern Pacific extending Pacific Ave and Main. B: # 177, 1926-1931: depositing of dredged materials, mostly by the American Dredging Company, on the proposed Navy Base Site, including on property of the Planatel Company - formerly known as Liberty Yard. Includes blueprints. C: #178, 1926: suggestions from the Alameda Improvement Club on how to handle traffic to the beaches and Neptune Beach in summer; #179, 1929: a complaint from residents in the Portola neighborhood about Neptune Beach operator burning garbage.
