History:
History compiled by the donor concerning the Oak Grove Institute, an early private school organized by the Methodists in 1854. Also attached is a 2-page newspaper clipping from the Alameda Times-Star dated April 2, 1963. The article relates to the institution and was also written by the donor.
History given to the Alameda Historical Society in July 1953, number 189, and never catalogued.
