The interior of tamborine, on the surface of the stretched hide, in sepia ink: "Herbert D. Clark, February 5, 1902 and November 27 and 28, 1903." And one through seven prompters are written. Size: 8" across and 1½" thick. History of Object: Tambourine used by Herbert D. Clark, February 5, 1902 and again November 27-28, 1903 in local minstrel shows under auspices of the Alameda Elks Club, BPOE 1015.
