DESCRIPTION: Oblong bench. Three-quarters of the bench is enamel painted off-white. The arm rest and top are needle cut. It has two dust cushions in brown frieze. It is separated by an arm into two seating arrangements. Front is enclosed and has ornamental details on the brackets supporting the arms.
Size: Bench is 142 1/2" in length, 37" in height from back to the floor.
HISTORY OF OBJECT:
Church pew or bench from the Presbyterian Church, Santa Clara Avenue and Chestnut Street. Erected in 1903 and designed by the noted Alameda resident architect H. H. Meyers.
