History of Object: Family photograph of Bishop Edward P. & Martha Hart, their daughters & husbands, plus offspring. One daughter, Emmeline Hart Jones, married Charles W. MacRae, old-time builder of Alameda. Edward P. Hart owned acres of land in the East End of Alameda, this section known as the Bishop & Hart tract. Bishop was the last name of Mr. Hart's step-brother. There is a Bishop Street also in the tract.
Note: Hart was associated with the Free Methodist Church, Park Avenue, between Central and Santa Clara Avenue.
