History of Object:
Miscellaneous documents from / to the council and/or mayor of Alameda, started in 1912-1913 with later additions, found in the attic of City Hall during remodeling in the 1990s. Documents in this folder include: street work (sidewalks, macadamizing, etc.) and sewers, assignments and resignations, including 1919 resignation of Hattie J.D. Chapman, widow of former City Engineer I.N. Chapman, from the Library Board of Trustees; Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company being awarded the contract to provide phone service to Alameda and subsequent plans to extend light and telephone service to Bay Farm Island (Item 2090); Marion Campbell getting the concession stand in Lincoln Park; Mayor Noy’s summary report over 1911-1913 (Item 2058); various reports from various departments for 1913; Plans to add a Diesel generator to the Electric Light Plant (Item 1989); Clark & Sons constructing a tank for crude oil (Item 2071); Gamewell getting awarded a Fire Alarm System contract (Item 2070).
