No. 99.384.1 Subject Category: Schools, Public, Longfellow Date or Period: 1928 Object: Report Card Description: Booklet-style report card, on yellowed card stock, printed with black type, with 'Alameda City Schools', and 'Kindergarten and First Grade'. At the bottom right is printed 'Wm. G. Paden Superintendent, and dotted lines and columns filled in by stamps or by hand; the School entry is filled in with a 'Longfellow' stamp. The card appears to be only partially completed and has not been signed by parents. The card is marked in pen with an old Historical Society '320.1' identification number at the top right on the front, has a fold along which the paper is torn, and has various tears that have been repaired with discoloring tape. Size: L 5 3/4 x W 3 1/2 inches. History of Object: Report Card for George Bodnar, Low First grade at Longfellow School, Fall Term 1928, Teacher Florence H. Peterson, Principal Mabel B. Dye. In 1928 the Bodnar family (father George P., mother Mary B, daughter Dorothy M and son George N), lived in the rear of 911 Taylor avenue.
