Description: Bound volume in brown colored suede with red colored leather accents and spine, accented with gold.The spine of the record states: "Assessment Book", 1872-1873, and "Town of Alameda". All entries are hand-written on a printed form. The first entries are starting with 'A', the last with 'Z'. Has written '5X' on the cover and on two small stickers affixed to the front cover.
Size of volume: L-21 1/2” x W-17 1/2”
History of Object: Assessment records for the City of Alameda listing property owners in alphabetical order, legal descriptions of their real property (and indicating whether improvements have been made upon said property), certain personal properties, and the assessed value of all of the foregoing for taxation purposes. This book was given in 1951 to the Historical Society as indefinite loan from the City of Alameda. This was the first Assessment Book used in the City of Alameda.
The year indicated is the same as for 04.13.1, but the contents differ slightly.
