Description:
2024.78.1A is a glass plate negative, taken from the air over the bay and looking north over Alameda. Neptune Beach is in the foreground. The Palm Beach changing room building can barely be seen along the right edge. Moving left from Neptune Beach, Surf Beach, what was left of Terrace Baths, Cottage Baths and Sunset Baths are also in the foreground. The Kohlmoos Hotel and Clark & Sons Pottery are some of the buildings that can be spotted in the distance. This negative is missing material the size of an eighth inch diameter circle on the lower right edge, but otherwise is in excellent condition.
2024.78.1B is a glass plate negative, taken from the north side of Central Ave., looking south at the Safety Racer. This image shows the attraction's entrance and facade in great detail. This negative is in excellent condition.
2024.78.1C is a glass plate negative, taken from the north side of Central Ave., looking south at the border of the park, from its eastern end almost to the entrance tower. This is a rare view of part of the park not usually photographed. A rifle range is also shown. This negative is in excellent condition.
2024.75.1D is a glass plate negative swimming pool, looking east and most likely taken from the building housing the changing rooms. The pool is surrounded by a very large crowd. Beyond the eastern boundary of the park, the Palm Beach changing room building is visible. This negative is in excellent condition.
