Description:
This is a glass plate negative of the front of the Alameda City Hall at 2263 Santa Clara Ave. It was taken after the portion of the tower damaged in the 1906 earthquake had been removed. There is an unidentified logo from a photography studio in the lower right corner, as well as "C-1305". This negative is in excellent condition.
Size: L-6.5 x W-8.5 inches.
History of Object:
This building is still in use as City Hall. The rest of the tower was later deemed unsafe and was removed.
