Description:
This is a glass plate negative, most likely taken from the top of the top of the Water Works building, looking toward City Hall. It shows many homes and businesses along Santa Clara Ave. and beyond. This negative is in excellent condition with some minor blemishes in the sky.
Size: L-5 x W-7 inches.
History of Object:
A sign for J.S. Vosburgh Hardware, on the building it occupied, can be clearly seen in the foreground. The Carnegie Library, Elks Lodge, post-earthquake City Hall, businesses and a great many houses are visible.
