History of Object: Group photo of Lincoln Elementary School kindergarten of 1949. The student’s names are written on the verso. The donor, Doug Durein, was the son of the late Alice and Joseph Durein (the latter was a past president of the Alameda Historical Society). The Durein family came to Alameda in the 1860's, at one time running a shoe store on Park Street.
