Missing metal blade. Original tag had number U11. Partial inscription that appears to say “No.290” Size: approx. 9.5“ W by 5” T History of Object: wooden hand plane, part of a collection of carpentry tools, owned by John Ucovich (presumed), an immigrant carpenter from Montenegro. John Ucovich moved to Alameda around 1925, and ran a trucking business in Oakland. By 1938 John (aged 61) lived with his wife, Myrtle May, at 775 Santa Clara.
