Description: images of a 4-masted sailing vessel.
A. A black-and-white non-glossy print of a painting of the four-masted barkentine “James Tuft” in profile, printed on card stock with larger bottom margin.
B. large-size postcard with scalloped edge, showing a sepia photo of the ship at an angle with top sails furled, on verso: Barkentine "James Tuft", No. 98, Hall Brothers, Builders, Port Blakely, Washington, 1902; A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, 1958, from Capt. A.F. Raynaud, Marine Surveyor.
C. a glossy black-and-white print, with the image tilted, of the same picture as B.
D. a glossy black-and-white image of the ship in the same configuration as B and C, but showing the ship in profile.
The gloss of C and D is marred. Additionally, there are lines created during the developing process.

History of Object: Images of the barkentine 'James Tuft', named in honor of master Mariner and Alameda resident James Tuft, who was part-owner of the vessel.
