Description: A sepia-colored glossy photograph of an interior of a building with elaborate ceiling paintings and wrought iron hanging lamps. The furniture appears to be oak, the workers appear to consist of mostly men near the windows, and women towards the center of the room. On verso, stamped 'Commercial & Photo View Co.', handwritten sequence no. ‘11/29-2.(similar to a photo found in album 00.277.1). State: glue stains on corners on verso, and pin holes at top two corners.

History of Object: An enlargement photograph of the interior of the Bureau of Electricity, 2440 Santa Clara Ave, corner Everett Street. The building was originally the location of the administration building of the Municipal Electric Light Department, and used by the Bureau until 1986. Currently houses the law offices of William Berg and Associates.
Part of a collection of papers and photographs from an Alameda resident, donated by a sibling.
