The figure is hand-painted and glazed, with dark brown hair, wearing a white under-robe with head-scarf, a sky-blue cloak or shawl, and orange shoes. A line of gold-paint decorates the hem and sleeves. The base is painted grass-green. Underside is stamped: 'Germany' in black. Size: H 4 6/16 x L 2 7/16 x W 2 1/8 inches History of Object: Figurine of Mary, part of a Manger or Nativity Scene of the Martin Family, who came to Alameda in the early 1900s.
