History of Object: Mail carriers assembled on what appears to be the front stairs of the Alameda Free Library, circa 1912. Men unidentified, possibly one could be the husband of Mabel Tennant, who was an employee of the Post office during this period. Acquired from: Marjorie Dodd Date: Feb 13, 1982 Note: In 1983, the photograph was placed in a black frame with ornate gesso border, of approximately the same era as the photo. 4/23/83 One of the mail carriers was identified by a visitor as Paul Weinberger, (extreme right, in front of column), a 41 year employee of the Alameda Post Office.
