History of Object:
Marriage certificate of Charles Frederick Fischer to Agnes Louisa Thomsen, dated Nov. 20, 1886. Both were members of pioneer Alameda families. Fischer, whose family had come to Alameda in the late 1860's, was the stepson of Denis Straub, early carpenter & builder of the city.
