Signed on the reverse side (in sepia colored ink) “Merry Xmas to Etta and the Girlies, C. W." Size: L-5 1/2 x W-8 inches. History of Object: Christmas card sent to Henrietta Remmel (wife of Julius), and her two daughters, Julietta & Loreme. The card, a hand painted postcard, represents family friends (unknown) Victorian style home in Alameda (address unknown). Mrs. Henrietta Remmel (nee Jackson) had formerly been a teacher at the old West End School (now known as Longfellow). One of her pupils, Fred Croll, later became City Assessor.
