Description: a gold-plated - possibly silver - pin, in the shape of a shield with a scroll across and a burning torch. On the scroll are impressed letters A, H, S, picked out in red enamel, and on the shield, above the scroll is 'DEC.', and below '03' also picked out in red enamel. Stamped on the back: 'Radke & Co.'

History of Object: Alameda High School of Olive Dillon Crawford. This was likely the class pin for the Class of 1903. Olive was the daughter of W. P. Dillon who lived on 1214 Paru Street. Dillon, a house painter by trade, was a resident of Alameda as early as 1887. Olive married Fred Crawford, and they built a house at 1339 Caroline St., Alameda, a home in the California Bungalow style, erected in 1915. They later moved to 1629 High Street.
