History of Object: Photograph of Patrick Britt, Sr. pioneer of the West End of Alameda and the original owner of the bar at northeast corner of Webster Street and Central Avenue, now known as Croll's Bar (1981). He was the father of Patrick, Jr., Ella, George, Richard (Alameda police officer), and William (employee of Clark's Pottery). Mr. Britt, Sr. operated a produce business in San Francisco. One time lived at Taylor and Webster Street.
