History of Object: Photograph of Abram Rich in his carriage, 1620 4th Street, Alameda. In the distance can be seen the Rich home, erected circa 1868, on land purchased by him in 1866, from W. W. Chipman. The house is still standing (1981) and is occupied by the descendents of the original owner.
