Description: Loose-Leaf folder of shiny black leather-look heavy stock paper, holding yellow grid paper through three punches, with black-and-white glossy snapshot photos held in place with black photo corners. Photos have dates and possibly captions in black pen, overwriting pencil. Caption on gold-rimmed label on the front states: “Fruitvale Bridge Replacement Pictures #2”. Also a small label on the right bottom of the front cover states ‘9’.
Size: L 8 1/2 x W 11.
History of Object: Book 2 of photo record from the building of a replacement Fruitvale Bridge, starting 7/31/72, last photos are dated 1/29/73; last photo shows the new bridge deck going up. For most of the photos, the railway bridge is down, on the last photo it’s up.
