Handwritten legend below states: 'A.H.S. Circus Day May 29-1936' Size: (backing) L 7 x W 4 inches History of Object: photos of the Circus Day celebration at Alameda High School. Arches can be seen at the far end of the open space - today these are still in front of the Patton Gym - and in the distance the side of the Masonic building. Places the event in the space now occupied by the 1950s building and parking lot. Composition was part of a collection of uncataloged photos from the Rittler Estate.
