No. 81.10.1 Subject Category: City Officials Date or Period: C. 1900 Object: Photograph, framed Description: Enlarged photographic portrait, sepia tinted, in new double cream (outer) & brown (inner) colored mat, oak frame. The portrait, a reproduction by Dr. Vernon Rabbach, was made from the original which was damaged by water leaks while hanging in our second museum, 1327 Oak Street. Note: Original oak frame. The original dmat was black or charcoal colored. Size: 31½ x 26½ inches. History of Object: Portrait of E. Minor Smith, first assessor of the City of Alameda from 1872 to 1909. He was also an Exalted Ruler of the Masonic Lodge. The portrait originally hung in the City Hall, Alameda. Acquired from: Ben Jost Date: 1954
