(Quoted from Ms. Eleanor Clark) Photo of 1920 Ford Sedan. This was the first Ford sedan owned by Herbert Clark. All automobiles prior to this date (for the Clarks) had been open touring cars, Sedan were just coming into prominence. You can see a portion of the old Notre Dame Academy in the background (comers of Chestnut-Lafayette and San Jose Avenue) in the picture. The driver of the elegant car is Eleanor Clark, a senior at Alameda High at the time.
