History of object: Photo of Eleanor D. Clark, daughter of Herbert D. & Emma Adell Clark, born 1906. The photograph was taken by Gertrude Cockroft, then a popular portrait photographer, with studios on Alameda Avenue. Ms. Clark became the Executive Director Alameda Branch, American Red Cross, and served in that capacity for many years.
