History of Object: Photo of Ellen Deans Clark, shortly before her marriage to R. Frank Clark in New York City, 1870. She was a Clark before she was married to a Clark. She was the mother of two sons, Wm. Schuyler, bom 1873 & Herbert D., bom 1676. She died of consumption in 1979 in Alameda.
