History of Object: This photograph was taken by Eleanor D. Clark, Circa 1930, one rainy afternoon, crossing what we called the "Estuary" (Webster Street, between the now Posey Tube & Atlantic Avenue) looking West across the flats toward the Clark's Pottery Works. Over the land on which the College of Alameda and its campus now stands. This land would flood in rainy weather and often became a sea of beauty with the reflections of a setting sun.
