Description: black and white enlargement of a photograph, framed in wood frame with gesso decorations, an outer strip painted in mahogany and a narrower inside strip painted bronze. Black backing paper. Showing uniformed men, 3 cars and a truck, in front of a two-story stucco building with 3 double doors with arched upper lights, and a wooden spanish-revival style balcony. A sign on the building reads: ‘A F D No. 1’.

History of Object: photo of 3 cars - one with ’No. 1’ - and a ladder truck - with sign ‘Truck 1’, and 9 uniformed firemen in front of the No. 1 Webb Ave Fire Station. Possibly in preparation for some parade or event, as small flags decorate the materiel. The truck appears to be pulling the 1881 Dan Hayes ladder wagon.
