History of Object: Horse-drawn hook and ladder fire truck, Alameda Fire Dept., then-known as Citizens Hook and Ladder Company Number One; it was located on Webb Ave., just off Park St., and it was a volunteer group. Fire Chief Fred K. Krauth is pictured in the center wearing a light colored hat.
