History of Object: Photograph of Gerald E. Goggin (father of Gerald W., and father-in-law of donor), playing with a dog at 1620 4th Street, Alameda. In the distance can be seen Mary Helen Rich Goggin (his wife and the mother of Gerald W., and mother-in-law of the donor), who was the daughter of Abram Rich, original owner of 1620 4th Street, who purchased the land from W. W. Chipman in 1866, and was a pioneer resident of the West End.
