Photographer: George Ball, 1721 Railroad Ave., Alameda (per imprinting in gold on left margin of the mounting). All corner points show wearing and minor creasing. Size: L-8 x W-10 in. History of Object: Interior view of the Herbert home at 1433 Morton St. showing the back parlor with the music room alcove that held a Steinway piano and which featured art-glass windows portraying famous composers. Mr. Herbert was the attorney for the Central Pacific Railroad. The home was demolished in the 1970's. Acquired from: Alameda Victorian Preservation Society Date: 3/21/98 Pre-1971 donation uncataloged.
