History of Object: Following information compiled by the donor; The photograph was taken in 1927 or 1928 and is believed to be that of a group of Knights of Columbus, a Joint Council group. The men (with a few youngsters) are grouped in front of the newly constructed St. Philip Neri Church, High Street & Van Buren Street, Alameda. This building remodelled is now called Monsignor Patrick O'Brien Hall. Father Robert O'Connor, in the cassock, was pastor of the new church. Later, he was pastor for many years of St. Joseph Church, Alameda. The Knights were members of the Alameda Lodge #1658, plus other East Bay Lodges. George E. McDonald Acquired from: George E.
