History of Object: Photograph of the main facade of 1620 4th Street, Alameda. The Abram Rich home, erected circa 1868, on land purchased in 1866 from W. W. Chipman, by Mr. Rich. The house is still standing (1981) and is occupied by the descendants of the original owner.
