History of Object: Photograph depicting the main facade of the Wm. Ford and Margaret B. Johns residence, 2051 Santa Clara Ave. The house in the Victorian "Eastlake" style is now demolished - 1995. Wm. Ford Johns was an expert in mining and came from England to oversee a mine in Calif. The area was Johnsville, Ca., which was named after him. Wm. Ford Johns was the grandfather of the late husband of the donor.
