Description: Sepia-toned albumen print photo mounted on tan aperboard. Photographer: St. Louis Art Studio, S.F. (as imprinted in blue on verso). The image and the mounting are damaged by a 5-in. horizontal tear about 1-in. from the bottom edge. An old green cataloging label is affixed to the image's upper left corner and a white typed description label is glued to its bottom margin. The image also suffers from minor creasing, chipping taping and fading.
Size: L-4 x W–7 1/4 in.
History of Object: The Porter School 7th Grade, 1884, posed on steps. Students names are listed on verso. The teacher was Miss Geraldine Clement.
