Description: Sepia-toned albumen print photo mounted on tan paperboard. Photographer: Shilling, S.F. (per black imprinting on verso). The mounting is damaged by missing segments, a missing segment along the top covered by a white strip of paper, an old green cataloging label affixed upon same at the upper left end, and typed descriptive matter attached to the bottom edge. The image has missing emulsion at its upper left corner and spotting along its bottom edge.
Size: L-6 x W-9 1/4 in.
History of Object: The Porter School First Grade, 1886, posed on the front steps. The class teacher was a Miss Megeley.
