Digital photo or scan of an old photo of a four-story Queen Anne residence, with turret, gingerbread shingles and decorative roofline. Three female figures can be seen on the porch and steps. To the left and right are parts of other wooden houses visible. A line where the photo is lighter can be seen through the upper floor, cause unknown. Size image file: 4.9 MB, type: JPEG. B. Print-out of the digital photo Size: L 8.5 X W 6.75" History: Photo of 2116-2118 San Antonio Ave, built 1890, Architect and Builder: A.R. Denke; Cost, $3,370, for Frank G. Sargent (1853-1929), salesman for Goodyear Rubber Co., S. F., and his wife Mary E. (1853-1929). On the steps are likely the Sargents’ 3 daughters, Laura, Harriet and Helen. By 1940 the house had been split into two, with Mary and Harriet living at 2116 (upstairs), and Helen and her husband, Norman Bates (married in 1915), at 2118 (downstairs). Today (2020) the house has asbestos siding, ornaments removed, and a blue below, tan up paint job. The house to the left (2120) has been replaced by an apartment building, the house to the right (2112) was remodeled in the early 1900s. The donor, a resident of the house around 1990, gave the photo to Woody Minor, who donated it. Acquired from: Joseph John Glowacki, via Woody Minor.
