History:
Photograph depicting the main facade of the Dennis Straub residence at 2255 Pacific, a Queen-Anne style residence, now demolished. The photograph was taken by H. Hallonquist, a member of Alameda Photographic Society, in 1952. Mr. Straub was one of the pioneer builders of Alameda, beginning his career in the late 1860's. He died in 1898 or 1899. He was the step-father of Charles and Fred Fischer.
