Signature below the photograph on mounting in pencil states “Misses Spencer and Stolte, Alameda, 1930”. In original gesso frame of gray accentuated with silver. Size: L 17 1/2 W 14. 1/2" History: Photograph of an unidentified young man, possibly a high school graduation photograph taken by the prolific female photographers, the Misses Spencer and Stolte, who were in business in Alameda from 1913 to 1955. The photograph subject was a friend of Joseph & Alice Durein, from whose estate the picture was purchased. Donor: Museum Acquisition Fund Date: August 12, 2000
