Description: Glossy black/white photo, unmounted. Photographer: Piatt Photo Co., 1411 Park St., Alameda. Heavy damage to image includes: three horizontal creases that largely cut through the image, four vertical tears of varying length, and the upper left corner point has broken off. Repairs were attempted with a Scotch Tape -type of material that has since dried up and mostly broken off, leaving a yellowish stain residue on the emulsion.
Size: L-9 1/2 x W–7 1/2 in.
History of Object: Firemen posing at a fire house next to a large, decorated Christmas tree donated (according to a sign) by the Western Pacific Railroad. The nine firemen are identified by name on verso.
