Size: H-8 inches, W-6 1/2 inches. History of Object: Photo of Dr. James K. Hamilton in his World War 1. uniform. Hamilton, a native of Texas, came to Alameda as a child. After graduating in medicine from the University of California in 1903, he set up his practice in San Francisco. Destruction of his office by the earthquake and fire in 1906 caused him to move his practice to Alameda. He retired in 1939 because of poor health.
