Purchased by Wm. Henry Kruger about 1883. The following annotation was composed by the donor and is written on the reverse side of the photo: "Wm. Henry Kruger Dunbar lived in this house while attending Haight Elementary School and Alameda High School, Class of 1920. House was never wired for electricity. All lighting was with manufactured gas."
