Acc. No. 97.107.1 Subject Category: Post Office Date or Period: Ca. 1895 Object: Photograph Description: Sepia-toned albumen print photo mounted on it. tan paperboard. Photographer unknown. Glue staining abt. L-2 x W-5 in covers the upper 1 in. of the image as well as the entire center section of the upper margin of the mounting. Also, the mounting has an old cataloging sticker in its upper right corner, nail holes, and a missing lower right corner point. The image has a vertical scratch near its midsection, extending for the full length. Size: L-10 x W-12 in. History of Object: Postmaster T.C. Stoddard and his staff. He served from 1893 to 1898, and was an appointee of the Cleveland Administration. Acquired from: Mr. Ford Samuel (1954) Date: 3/8/97 Pre-1971 donation, old cat. #604X.
