History of Object: Retired Alaska Packers rigger John "jack" Dickerhoff is seen standing at the foot of a gangplank with Jack Shalell(?), a retired ship's captain, who inscribed this photo to Mr. Dickerhoff in black ink upon the image. Mr. Dickerhoff came out of retirement to assist in the renovation of the Balclutha, a former Alaska Packers vessel.
