The verso is covered with a brownish glue residue which has penetrated the emulsion of the image. Size: L-4 3/4 x W7 1/2 in. History of Object: View of old narrow-gauge Southern Pacific locomotive #19 which blew up in Alameda on July 15, 1903. No one was killed. The engineer was a Mr. Duncan; the fireman a Mr. Gale. This photo was originally part of the "West End School Boys Collection", per notation on verso. Acquired from: Unknown Date: 11/15/97 Pre-1971 donation, uncataloged.
