History of Object: Photograph of the 1500 block (east side) of Everett Street (between Lincoln & Webb Avenues). The photo, made in the past months, was reproduced from a negative taken by Richard Q. Roemer, on April 9, 1939. Mr. Roemer & family purchased 1556 Everett Street, which appears in the photo (second from left) in Dec., 1936. The late Mr. Roemer was a marine engineer for the Southern Pacific. His wife, Elsie B. (of the South Shore Bird Sanctuary), is still a resident of the home (1990). Note: Elsie B. Roemer was born 11-18-1892. Acquired from: Alice Howard (daughter of M/M Richard Q. Roemer) Date: 10-13-1990
